My Adult Coloring Book- First Pages Done (Johanna Basford's Lost Ocean)

Well it happened. I got into the adult coloring craze a little.

I used to buy children's coloring books for myself to relax as a teenager, but these new books that have been coming out are so beautifully detailed that I couldn't resist!

The book I started with is Johanna Basford's Lost Ocean. I love how sweet and whimsical her artwork is.

Here are the pages I colored in so far,

Left space for my last name haha
This is the next one I completed.
I LOVE metallic gel pens!!
I color with Prismacolor pencils and highlight certain areas with Sakura metallic gel pens. These pens are awesome, particularly with this book because you can add that metallic "glow" that a lot of little fishies have.

When I finish more, I'll share!

I Love My Husband

The past 24 hours have been pretty hard and I really don't feel like making the post I was originally planning on. I'm not ready to share why with anyone yet, but I probably will someday when my thoughts are more gathered. I just want to take a moment to share that I love my husband and am thoroughly blessed to have him.

Our wedding cake toppers YEAH!

In a time of need, he scooped me up in a way that was so comforting and loving that it's hard to exactly describe. I started to cry because it was just so nice. LOL

Many people who don't know us well question how such a seemingly cold guy ended up with a romantic goofball like me. What they don't know is his top-secret inner mush which is a billion times more sappy than anything I myself can muster and I totally eat it up. I need it sometimes. I need him.

I'm just feeling so grateful for him right now and want to leave this here as a little reminder for the next time he eats ALL of my cookie dough ice cream.

I love you honey :)

KonMari Method Second Visit: Clothing

I discovered the "KonMari" method of decluttering last year after it's boom of popularity on social media. It really is a great method of getting unwanted items out of your life. I don't want to reinvent the wheel by explaining the entire process, but the main premise is to sort your things by category and only keep that which brings you joy.

The audio book is available for free on youtube,

Or if you don't have that much time to spend (though I highly recommend it!), here is a great lecture,

I went through the entire process last year and got rid of a couple trash bags of stuff and several trunk loads of stuff to donate. At the time, I lived in half of a bedroom at my parent's house. I couldn't believe how much stuff I had crammed in that little space!

Since then, I have gotten married and moved into my husband's little one bedroom apartment. I have noticed a shift in my lifestyle and my priorities began to change. A lot of my stuff started to become nothing more than a burden. I stopped collecting things, like My Little Pony. Then there were other things that my husband already owned, so we just have a lot of doubles.

For fun, here is a picture of almost everything I moved (plus a bookshelf, several bags of clothing and about 12 plants),

I suppose not terrible but I didn't exactly have a whole household to move either, haha
So I think it is time to revisit everything! I know the changes won't be as big as they were the first time since I really haven't let too much stuff accumulate, this is mostly just reevaluating the old, getting settled in with my husband and letting him go through his stuff too (and he is fairly minimalistic already).

Since clothing is the first category, I pulled out my entire wardrobe and got to work!

All of my clothes, minus underwear, socks, and  4 work uniforms

And the pile of stuff I am letting go

I really am toying with the idea of setting up a capsule wardrobe but I'm not quite comfortable with that yet. I think I'm going to let that happen naturally as my clothing wears out and I continue to stop bringing new items in.

My husband is more of a simple guy. I organized his clothes too and asked him to sort through them, giving him a category at a time (polos, buttondowns, pants...). That really helped him. We both wanted to be able to share a single chest of drawers and got it accomplished!! Yay!!

Bushkill Falls, Pennsylvania

Here is another gorgeous place! I'm sharing some photos from the trip my husband and I took to Bushkill Falls.

It's a beautiful park in Bushkill, Pennsylvania with many different waterfalls to see. It requires a lot of walking to see everything, so we definitely got our exercise that day. There are plenty of different trails to take and they are all marked according to difficulty. We accidentally strayed from the blue trail and ended up taking the red trail (hardest)....backwards.

It's a good thing we don't go hiking in more serious places.

The main falls. This was so stunning.

Can I be a little fairy and live here?

I totally look like I've been walking all day

You stand on a bridge and can look down at this one. I love how it vanishes between the rocks below.

There were a couple of cute gift shops in town too. We took a stop at a gardening place which had a lovely outdoor pond!

At one of the shops, my husband bought me a pretty wire wrapped pendant. It reminded us of a waterfall. :)

After this trip, I absolutely want to visit more waterfalls. They are so beautiful and I love the soothing sound of falling water. I'm making a list of more that I want to see. Comment if you know of any!

Longwood Gardens- Spring Fever

It's that time of year again... it's almost spring and I'm dying for it! These are some photos I took during my trip to Longwood Gardens, Pennsylvania a while back.

Gorgeous fountain greets you at the door

This place is absolutely breathtaking. It's so calming, beautiful and peaceful. One could really spend all day here or more.

I could live right here at this exact spot
Something I would expect to see in the secret garden
There was an entire room dedicated to orchids, my weak spot. Some were as large as my hand!

There was a beautiful butterfly garden too. Those little guys are hard to photograph!

There is so much to see and so many paths to follow. Of course displays change as the season changes. I can't wait to go back!

Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire

I uploaded this video a while ago but forgot to share. It's a collection of clips I took at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire last October. :)

Since then, I married that guy in the man pants!

We had so much fun. I really can't wait until next faire season. Getting ready to start another costume!!

New Video Up: Making a Miniature Fairy Bed! Fairy Garden Furniture

Tiny fairy garden furniture is so whimsical and sweet. I just couldn't resist trying to make some. It's a very inexpensive project since most of the materials can be found during a little outdoor walk or even in your own backyard.

I made this little bed a quite a while ago, but it took so long to upload the actual video because it felt so intimidating to me. It's my first attempt at filming/editing. My poor old laptop can't handle the large video files either, so I had to borrow my brother's and that isn't so easy. I finally got it though!

Then 8 hours later..
I got this!

It took me longer to edit than it did for me to make the actual piece of fairy furniture, hehe.

I really hope somebody enjoys this though. My ultimate goal is to inspire someone through one of my projects. :)

I would really like to do more videos, so keep an eye out and subscribe if you enjoy it. My youtube channel can be found here, My Youtube Channel
